Singer, Songwriter, DJ & Producer
John Newman launched his music career in 2012 as a singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer when he featured on Rudimental’s UK Number One single “Feel the Love,” introducing his soulful vocals to a global audience.
His breakthrough came with “Love Me Again,” which debuted at Number One in the UK and reached the Top 10 in over 30 countries, accumulating 1.6 billion streams. In 2014, his collaboration with Calvin Harris, “Blame,” made history as the first Spotify track to surpass 10 million streams in a single week.
Newman has achieved nine Number One records as both songwriter and artist, with collaborations from major producers including Kygo, David Guetta, and Galantis. He earned three BRIT Award nominations and accumulated over 2.5 billion total streams.
After a creative hiatus, Newman returned in 2021 with “If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know),” a collaboration with David Guetta and MistaJam that merged Whitney Houston’s melody with Newman’s performance and contemporary dance production.
Today, Newman pursues energetic, dance-led solo music while developing his skills as both vocalist and DJ, continuing to push creative boundaries while honoring the soulful authenticity that established his prominence in modern music.
